Soil Corrosivity Testing & Recommendation Reports

Detailed analysis and recommendations from our expert Corrosion Engineer. Soil samples can be collected by our collection team or your local geotechnical firm. Reports provide recommendations for material selection and corrosion rates in all forms of corrosive environments.

Wenner 4-pin Testing (In-Situ Resistivity Testing)

Our Engineers provide in-situ soil resistivity via Wenner 4 pin (4 electrode) method ASTM G57. All equipment is compliant with IEEE 81. Testing is performed by qualified engineers. Contact us directly for pricing.

Our Services

Thermal Resistivity Dry Out Curves & In-situ Data Points (ASTM D5334 & IEEE 442)

Helping you understand your concrete or soil’s thermal behavior under varying moisture conditions, our 6-point dry out curves tested per ASTM D5334, provide you with the data you need to protect your underground conductors or infrastructure adequately. Soil molding (cylinders) are done in our laboratory free of charge, just send us your soil, or have us collect it for you.

Percolation Testing & Septic Design

Perc tests assess soil’s ability to absorb water, a crucial factor for designing septic systems and drainage solutions. Our tests determine how quickly water drains through the soil at specific depths, ensuring compliance with local regulations. This service helps in planning and permitting for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring efficient wastewater management and environmental safety.

Residential Soil/Geotechnical Reports

A soil report evaluates the site’s subsurface conditions — including soil type, stability, and drainage — to help meet permitting requirements and ensure safe, compliant construction.

Percolation Testing

Perc testing starts at $1,500. This includes a full report stamped by a registered Colorado Profession Engineer, ready for submittal to your local jurisdiction. This price varies depending upon the county requirements and site conditions. We guarantee the lowest price for a PE stamped report. If you found someone cheaper we will not only match the price but we will beat it.

Soil Corrosivity Evaluations

CalTrans Suite - $100/sample (Tests for Resistivity, pH, Sulphates and Chlorides)

Full Corrosion Suite - $125/sample (Tests for Resistivity, pH, Sulphates, Chlorides, Ammonia, Nitrates, Redox and Sulfides)

Corrosion Control Recommendation Report - $500+$100/Sample (3 Sample Minimum)

Thermal Resistivity Dry Out Curves

$500/Sample

Thermal resistivity dry-out curves, as per ASTM D5334, illustrate how soil's thermal resistivity changes as moisture content decreases. These curves are esssential for understanding soil behavior under varying moisture conditions, aiding in the design of thermal management systems for underground installations..
